Barrio Fiesta in DerbyHello kababayans living in Derby, Derbyshire and whole of the East Midlands. Summer is soon approaching, the spirit of fiestas is everywhere but Derbyshire. There is a big Filipino community in the whole of Derbyshire, if all the different associations get their heads together, we could probably have our own Barrio Fiesta in the Derbyshire area. It would be nice to get together, promote businesses and show our custom and traits not only to British people but also to other nationalities in the Midlands. Do you think this can be realised in the near future?
It's comming! The 2009 FBS (filipino British Society) summer Fiesta at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes will be taking place August the 15th & 16th. More details of what to expect during these two exciting days will be updated here as and when we have confirmation. New topic started in the forums! over the last few weeks we have been hearing many people asking questions about visa, student and work visa. People seem to be unclear as to what new regulations are being put in place and bringing with it much uncertainty. Because of hearing these questions, we have added a Visa section in the forums with in the community section.
